I Love Paris – Day 1

I finally have time to write my Paris trip and it’s been 1 month ago already.  My departure was on 17 March evening and arrival back to Hong Kong on 23 March morning.  Sounds like a week of vacation but actually I only have 4 whole days in Paris and it took 1 day to fly from HKG-CDG-HKG.  I took Cathay Pacific as usual CX261 Departing at 2345 and arrive in Paris on the next day at 0530.  The flight took around 12 hours and I slept a lot so it wasn’t that bad and a quick flight for me.

This is my first Europe trip with my husband and we’re all excited and I’m happy I can use my French that I learn in Canada a long time ago.
After checking in and took a nice shower, let’s go…
We visit Cathedrale Notre Dame and this is a very grand and big cathedrale.  Inside the ceilings were very high and the artwork in and out are amazing.

Close by, we headed to an old street call Rue St-Louis en L’lle and they have an ice-cream shop call Glarier Berthillon, their ice-cream are delicious. I had mango sherbet and my husband had chocolate.  We walk around the area and as you can see buildings are short, skies are blue and just everything is so beautiful.

Later on we went to Av. Des Champs-Elysees to go shopping and dinner, we drop by at Arc de Triomphe first to take some pictures.
.
Of course there’s Sephora and I only took one pictures inside because no pictures allow.

In Paris, people usually have dinner very early so we decided to have dinner at 6:00pm.  We visited “Chez Clement” restaurant because a lot of my friends said the food is great.

We order Oysters, vegetable soup, green salad, marinated duck with potatoes and ham bake with cheese.  We finish dinner around 9:00pm, yes 3 hours for dinner because I guess local people eat very slowly.  My husband and I were practically falling asleep at the table since jet lag because Hong Kong time is 2:00am in the morning.  Good thing the food taste good so it kept us awake.

By the time we got out of the restaurant, it was dark already.  We took the metro back to our hotel to have a good night sleep, on the way there we past Arc de Triomphe again so I took a night scenery photo too.
